Fancy a ticket to the 2025 Ryder Cup? We can promise only one thing: It won’t come cheap.
The biennial dust-up between Europe and United States has long been a commercial behemoth across both sides of the Atlantic and next year’s tussle at Bethpage will prove no different.
Luke Donald’s European side will enter the New York bearpit as underdogs next September, despite a dominant 16.5-11.5 victory at Marco Simone in 2023.
That, of course, comes down to the huge home advantage at play in the Ryder Cup. Not only can home captains change course set-up at their leisure, the partisan support always plays a huge factor – and this time that is heightened by a hostile New York crowd in 2025.

However, there are now concerns that the fervent American sports fans will now be priced out of the much-anticipated contest. On Monday, No Laying Up’s Kevin Van Valkenburg raised the issue on social media.
“I would like to go on the record now and say that if Europe wins the Ryder Cup at Bethpage because the crowds were turned into a polite snooze fest like LACC (US Open, 2023) by the insane ticket prices, it’s going to go down as a massive own goal,” he wrote.
We’ll let you be the judges of the PGA of America’s said ticket prices.
As discovered in the FAQ section of the Ryder Cup website, a ticket for only the Tuesday or Wednesday practice day on Long Island will set you back $225.27 (£172.62). On Thursday, the penultimate practice day that also includes the Junior Ryder Cup, Celebrity Matches and the Opening Ceremony, the price is bumped up to $423.64 (£324.64).
If you actually want to see the action unfold over the three-day competition, however, tickets are priced at $749.51 (£574.35). That stays the same over the Fourballs/Foursomes on Friday and Saturday and the Sunday singles session that will likely decide the cup.
These prices do not include hospitality and, through a ballot system, are the only way you can secure a ticket to the match in advance.

It’s fair to say that the prices have not gone down too well on social media.
“These prices are diabolical,” one fan wrote. “Insane,” another agreed, while one user described the pricing as an “insult.”
“This is going to be 90% corporate buyers,” a user replied on X. “Nobody normal is paying $800 for a Ryder cup ticket.” One sarcastically replied: “Clearly trying to grow the game…”
The ticket prices are in stark contrast to what fans were charged to be part of the magical 2023 contest on the outskirts of Rome. It was £52 for a ground pass for Tuesday practice and £91 on Wednesday and Thursday practice. General admission tickets rose to around £210 when the action began.
The 2025 Ryder Cup takes place at Bethpage on Long Island from September 26-28.
