Scottie Scheffler has hilarious response after shank drama at Tour Championship

It’s not often we get treated to a Scottie Scheffler shank.

The world number one has been by far the best player on the planet in 2024 – a season which saw him not only win a second Masters, a second Players, and second Arnold Palmer Invitational, but an RBC Heritage, Memorial and Travelers too.

And it was all topped off with the Tour Championship and, with it, the insane riches that come with being the FedEx Cup champion.

So naturally it came as a surprise when Scheffler hoseled one out of a bunker at East Lake’s tricky 8th hole.

Let’s remind ourselves of what happened…

Understandable given he’s staring straight at the body of water after which this famed Atlanta club is named.

But one journalist was so flummoxed by what happened that he didn’t really quite know where to go when asking about it in Scheffler’s post-victory press conference.
