Scottie Scheffler insists it is on LIV golfers to reunify the men’s professional game.
It’s been in limbo since the inception of the Saudi-backed league in 2022, when it began signing several of the PGA Tour’s biggest names to lucrative contracts.
And despite reaching a ‘Framework Agreement’ in June 2023, the rival circuits are yet to come back together.
Scheffler, the newly crowned PGA Champion, said he is unsure how soon that will happen.
“I mean, I don’t really know,” the American said at Colonial ahead of the Charles Schwab Challenge. “That’s for the higher-ups to decide.
“I have said it a few times this year, if you want to figure out what’s going to happen in the game of golf, go to the other tour and ask those guys.

“I’m still here playing the PGA Tour. We had a tour where we all played together, and the guys that left, it’s their responsibility I think to bring the tours back together.
“Go see where they’re playing this week and ask them.”
Of course, LIV Golf doesn’t have an event this week as part of a 14-event schedule. Players who defected to the startup will next compete at LIV Golf Virginia, from June 6-8.
Scheffler, meanwhile, was among those to stay on the PGA Tour and has since reigned as the world No.1 for 140 weeks.
Since 2022, he’s won 15 times, including two Green Jackets and last week’s Wanamaker trophy. And he doesn’t care if many of those wins came without LIV stars involved.

“I only get to compete against those guys four times a year,” Scheffler said. “That was their choice; not mine.
“At the end of the day, I’m here competing and doing the best I can, and that kind of stuff, what’s the point of me thinking about, you know? There’s really absolutely no point to that.
“We get four chances to compete against them. Last week went well. I get another chance here in a few weeks.”
