The most striking addition to this year’s giant merch tent at The Open is the all-new Seve Ballesteros collection.

It is 40 years since Seve lifted the Claret Jug at St Andrews in 1984 – but all three of the inspirational late Spaniard’s famous Open wins are remembered in this clothing line.

The 24,000sq ft shop located in the spectator village at Royal Troon features various pieces commemorating Seve – and you really can’t miss them.

• The Open: Round 1 tee times in full

• Jon Rahm in ‘conversations’ over Ryder Cup situation

The ‘Seve All Over’ polo shirts make quite the impression, whilst there are also a selection of caps emblazoned with SEVE – as well as some adaptations of his classic V-neck jumpers.

But the devil is in the detail and that’s what makes this collection stand out from the rest.

Seve’s winning years at this great championship – ’79, ’84 and ’88 – are all remembered in this special tribute.

It’s certainly worth checking out during your pilgrimage if you’re one of the lucky 250,000 with a ticket to Royal Troon this week.
