Social Eyes DJ trolls destroyed, Spiranac trick shot

Welcome to this week’s Social Eyes! First up we have Dustin Johnson.
 
The US Open champ had qualified to represent the USA at this week’s Olympic event but chose to swerve the Games due to concerns about the Zika virus.

This week, he posted this picture of him and fiancée Paulina relaxing on a boat…

All is well and good, right? Well, DJ was subjected to a torrent of Olympics related abuse from commenters and Paulina felt it was only right for her to step in with this expletive-filled defence.

Naturally, social media has been going Olympics crazy this week as golf gets ready to make its return. With that in mind, it’s only right that we bring you some of the best bits.

Scottish caddy Craig Connelly has already been ribbed by Martin Kaymer on social media for wearing his ‘Germany’ emblazoned gear.
