The 19th edition of the Solheim Cup takes place this week – and it’s shaping up to be another cracker.

Following last year’s tied match at Finca Cortesin in Spain, Europe travel to the United States looking to make it an unprecedented fourth match without defeat.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia, will play host to the clash, where captains Suzann Pettersen and Stacy Lewis will lock horns all over again.

Speaking ahead of last month’s AIG Women’s Open in St Andrews, Lewis spoke of “unfinished business” following last year’s 14-14 tie.

“I just remember on the plane ride home, my daughter had fallen asleep,” said the US skipper. It was just her and I, and I kind of had a little cry. We worked so hard and we put so much into this and it was a tie, you know?

“It’s worked out nicely that Suzann and I are both coming back, because we get to kind of settle the score. That’s the way I feel about it.”

It promises to be another fascinating and ferocious contest – and, if you’re based in the UK, there’s only one place to catch all the action live as it unfolds.
