The PGA Tour stays in Hawaii this week for its first full-field event of the year at the Sony Open.
Waiʻalae Country Club, in East Honolulu, will stage the four-day contest 60 years after its inception in 1965.
It will be an emotional week, however, as last year’s champion Grayson Murray will be remembered on the grounds.
The 2024 Sony Open was Murray’s second win on the American circuit and first in seven years.
Meanwhile, last week’s event, The Sentry, paid tribute to Murray with his own locker in the clubhouse at Kapalua.
A post read: “A hui hou Grayson. Until we meet again.”
The event also remains committed to supporting the Hawaiian community through charity partner Friends of Hawaii Charities.
Each year, all proceeds are channeled back into the area, with a total of over $25 million donated to over 350 charities to date.
