Rule Changes Double Hit

1. No more ‘double hit’ penalties

Players will no longer be penalised for an accidental double hit. Until now, players who connected more than once with the ball in the course of a stroke were made to count the shot and add a penalty, turning one shot into three in the blink of an eye. However, from January 1, 2019, golfers will simply count the one stroke they made to strike the ball.
