The Dawson and Sanderson Travel Classic is shaping up to be a good tournament for the Scots, with three players in the top-ten, as round two continues.

Kris Nicol has made a fantastic start to his second round and leads the Scottish charge. Currently in third place, he started with three birdies in his opening six holes, and chases leader, Alex Belt.

Another Scot who is playing well is Neil Fenwick of Dunbar. He posted a second round 73, leaving him eighth on one-under-par. Although, may feel aggrieved not to be closer to the leaders after two-over-par back nine saw him drop down the leaderboard.

Paul Robinson of Largs is also tied in eighth position, and one shot outside the top-ten is Zack Saltman, the youngest of the Saltman siblings, with his brother Elliot further back on one-over.

The man everyone is trying to catch is Alex Belt from De Vere/Snainton, who won at Collingtree Park on last season’s Tour.

The Englishman bogeyed the second but returned to par for his round with a birdie on the par-three third. Birdies at eight, nine, 12 and 13 took him to four-under-par. He dropped back with a bogey on 16, but just as he had earlier in the round he responded immediately with a birdie on the 17th. He tees off for round two of The Dawson and Sanderson Travel Classic later today.
