The nearly-men of golf's Career Grand Slam club

WALTER HAGEN

Missing: The Masters

Hagen is the third most prolific major champion in the history of the game, with 11 wins on his resumé. However, the career grand slam eluded him, in large part due to the best years of his career coming in the 1920s. The Masters, of course, was only formed in 1934, by which time Hagen was 41 and five years removed from his most recent victory. He only played at Augusta six times, with a best finish of T11 in 1936.
