The Stadium Course – with its par-3 17th hole – has become one of the game’s most iconic layouts and welcomes a world-class field each year.
Scottie Scheffler headlines the latest renewal, as the world No.1 looks to make more history by becoming the first player to win the event in three consecutive years.
He’ll have the returning Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy and Ludvig Aberg to contend with, while their eyes will be drawn to the $4.5 million winner’s payout. It’s part of a $25 million purse.
Meanwhile, former LIV man Laurie Canter will make history of his own, as the first player from the Saudi-backed circuit to tee it up in the Players.

Going into this week, Matsuyama ranks 12th in tee-to-green on the PGA Tour and 17th in approach, two assets that can help him to a win at TPC Sawgrass. He’s already won this season and warmed up nicely with a T22 at Bay Hill last week.
