The Genesis Scottish Open field is showing no signs of holding up.
In March, it was announced that major winners Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas would return to East Lothian this summer.
Up next was Masters champion and career grand slammer Rory McIlroy, confirming that he’d try to add to his single title at the Renaissance Club in July.
Now, another three huge names have been added to the lineup.
Two-time major champion and 2022 Genesis Scottish Open winner Xander Schauffele will join Ryder Cup winners Ludvig Åberg and Sepp Straka at the event.
All three currently rank inside the top ten of the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and add to an already stellar field.

Schauffele’s return also means the last three winners of the Rolex Series event (McIlroy, 2023 and Robert MacIntyre, 2024) will bid to win a second title.
“It was awesome to win the Genesis Scottish Open in 2022, and I always look forward to playing in front of the Scottish fans,” said the American.
“It’s become an important stop on my schedule, especially last year, teeing it up at the Renaissance Club before going on to win my second major the next week.”
Meanwhile, Åberg is already a winner on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, and he added a first Signature Event win to his collection in February, claiming The Genesis Invitational.
“I had a good run at the title at Renaissance Club last season,” he said of a fourth-place finish, “and it will be cool to come back this summer as The Genesis Invitational winner.”
Straka is another enjoying a successful season in the States after winning The American Express in January and the Truist Championship two weeks ago.
“It’s always fun to play in the home of golf, and my game is in a great place this season so I would love to bring that momentum over to Scotland in July,” the Austrian said.

Co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, the Genesis Scottish Open has become renowned for boasting a world-class field.
At the tournament’s recent media day, tournament director Rory Colville revealed that last year’s edition had the fifth strongest field of the year, including the four men’s majors.
“We see this as a truly global significant event,” he said. “We’ve had three outstanding years of Xander Schauffle, Rory McIlroy and our very own defending champion Bob MacIntyre winning in dramatic circumstances.
“So, we are very proud of where the tournament has gotten to and we are very much looking forward to this year, when the player field will be strong once again.”
Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
