Tiger Woods was ruthlessly booted from a Ryder Cup photocall – because he didn’t realise it was for players only.
In a video tweeted by Golf Channel, the 14-time major winner and vice-captain lined up alongside the team and, after being told to move from the left side by the photographer, instead of removing himself completely – as captain Davis Love III and his fellow vice-captains had done – he walked around to the right side.
Eventually, the photographer had to tell Woods a second time that this photo was for players only. Finally, he departed, cue a chorus of laughs from the US squad.
“I forgot I wasn’t playing,” he joked afterwards.
