With the end of another PGA Tour season, comes the time to revel in this season’s top earners.

The class of 2024 contested some eye-watering purses on the American circuit, right through until the season-ending Tour Championship.

Prize money at the FedEx Cup showpiece isn’t involved here, though, just the cold, hard cash players earned before the final stop at East Lake.

Two PGA Tour rookies – Matthieu Pavon and Robert MacIntyre – snuck into the top 20 after enjoying winning starts to life after the DP World Tour.

The pair graduated from the Wentworth-based circuit last season, and both went on to earn over $5 million.

MacIntyre’s total, of course, buoyed by his wins at the RBC Canadian Open and Genesis Scottish Open.

Shane Lowry rounds out the Europeans between tenth and 20th, despite not lifting silverware on the Tour this season.

The Irishman recorded four top 5 finishes, including a solo third at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in February – banking him a $1.4 million payout.

Americans filled seven of the top ten highest earners in the 2024 season, with Patrick Cantlay and Keegan Bradely just inside the number.

Meanwhile, only five players netted over $10 million. Rory McIlroy earned the most of his European counterparts after a season of near misses.

A single win was disappointing given his high standards, and because the 35-year-old logged four top 5 finishes. Nobody needs a reminder of the events at Pinehurst No.2, in June.

Xander Schauffele earned considerably more than Hideki Matsuyama and Wyndham Clark ($18 million) to find himself at number two, paving the way for, you guessed it, Scottie Scheffler.

Little more can be said of the 28-year-old’s record-breaking six-win season.

The numbers don’t lie, but his campaign was made even more impressive with wins at the PLAYERS Championship and The Masters.
