In the blink of an eye, the Tour Championship is back, and the PGA Tour season is almost over.
This year, however, it is the richest golf tournament in the history of the professional game.
A $100 million total prize fund is on the line, with the 2024 FedEx Cup champion taking home an eye-watering $25 million.
More details on the full prize money breakdown here, but Scottie Scheffler will fancy his chances of adding to an already remarkable campaign.
The American takes a two-shot lead into the event, as only 30 players line up. Based on positions in the FedEx Cup standings, players are awarded a starting score.
Scheffler, at ten-under-par, leads the way, with two-time major champion Xander Schauffele just behind.
There is plenty of European representation, too. In fact, this year is a historic one for players from this side of the Atlantic, as a record-breaking nine players will compete at East Lake.
The tournament was founded in 1987 but has only featured as the final event of the PGA Tour play-offs since 2007.
East Lake, meanwhile, in Atlanta, Georgia, has hosted the event since 2004, and crowned some of the world’s greatest ever players as champions.
With the ‘Calamity Jane’ trophy and a five-year Tour exemption also up for grabs, here’s what you need to know…

Rory McIlroy going low when the pressure is off, you say. Well, we’ve heard that story before. It’s been an impossible task for those outside the top two to win here, but if anyone is up to the task, it could be the Northern Irishman.
