One player at the 2025 US Open will have an all-too familiar face on caddie duties.
Philip Barbaree, who sealed his place at Oakmont via Final Qualifying, is set to tee it up with his wife Chloe Lettau on the bag.
In fact, the American always does.
Barbaree, 26, met Lettau in 2023 and asked her to caddie last year after a torrid run of almost three years without making a world-ranked cut.

Two events into the Canada swing on PGA Tour Americas, the 2015 US Junior Amateur champ turned a corner and finished T23.
The rest, as they say, is history.
“This has been our thing ever since,” Barbaree told Golf Channel, as he prepares for a second shot at the third men’s major of the year.
The pair got married on March 1 and the key to their relationship on the golf course is simple. Lettau carries a light stand bag that is equipped with extra snacks.
Thankfully for her, she won’t need to carry a tour bag this week, albeit there will be plenty of walking.
“Absolutely not,” he said. “We’re not breaking up the team any time soon.”
For Barbaree, there are benefits to having his wife, as opposed to a tour caddie, by his side.

“Her not being a golfer has probably helped,” Barbaree added. “She picks up different things than people who are.
“If I’m being indecisive, she’ll realise it and tell me. Somebody who might play golf might try to rationalise it.
“She’ll go, ‘well, it just seemed like you were in between clubs a lot and thinking about it more than usual.’ I feel like we always figure out little things to do better every week.
“And I definitely feel like I enjoy playing golf as much as I ever have.”
The former LSU standout qualified for the 2018 US Open at Shinnecock Hills, following his sophomore year, however it didn’t go to plan.
Barbaree shot 82-79 and beat only two players, Michael Block and Scott Gregory.
