A total of 72 players teed it up in the Travelers Championship on Thursday.
Yet only 67 of them will finish this no-cut, $20million tournament at TPC Highlands in Connecticut.
That’s after Viktor Hovland became the latest high-profile withdrawal from the final PGA Tour signature event of the season during Sunday’s final round.
The Norwegian, who finished third in last week’s the US Open, was on course for a sizable chunk of the elevated prize fund after a seven-under par 63 on Saturday.

But, playing in a group alongside world No.1 Scottie Scheffler, Hovland called it quits just two holes into the final round with a neck injury.
Hovland was seen wincing in pain after striking his opening tee shot and – after making a par-bogey start – shook hands with Scheffler and playing partner Taylor Pendrith as he trudged off the course.
Jordan Spieth also cited a neck injury for his withdrawal on Thursday, the first of his PGA Tour career.
Si Woo Kim withdrew with a back injury on Friday, with Eric Cole and Matti Schmid pulling out with illness on Sunday.

Hovland’s injury concern, meanwhile, comes during a busy stretch leading up to next month’s Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
The 27-year-old, who won his seventh PGA Tour title at the Valspar Championship in March, has also committed to compete in the Genesis Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club.
Should Hovland recover in time for his trip to East Lothian, he will join a stellar field that also includes Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele.
“The Genesis Scottish Open is a fun week, with the DP World Tour and PGA Tour guys coming together,” Hovland said.
“I’ve played the tournament a few times now and I always enjoy getting back to Scotland.”
