At long last, Thomas Detry is a winner on tour.
The Belgian became the first man from his country to win on the PGA Tour and he stole the ‘Greatest show on grass’ at TPC Scottsdale.
Detry, 32, took a five-shot lead into Sunday’s final round in Arizona but left with a seven-shot win over Daniel Berger and Michael Kim.
The US pair played their way into next week’s Genesis Invitational via the AonSwing5, while Berger missed a birdie putt on the 18th to steal solo second.
As well as jumping to a career high of world No.22, Detry shot up the FedEx Cup standings, Ryder Cup standings and netted a cool $1.6 million.
