As someone once said: “In your life have you seen anything like that?”
South African Casey Jarvis is best known in golfing circles as the only player to do something his major-winning compatriots couldn’t when he won his country’s Triple Crown of the South African Amateur, SA Amateur Stroke Play and The African Amateur.
Now he’s a viral sensation thanks to this ludicrous clip.
• The golf rivalry you didn’t think you needed set for $100,000 showdown
• Scots rocker “owes Bob MacIntyre a tattoo” after losing bet
• PGA Tour star reveals ‘free stuff’ top pros get – and the list is pretty amazing
The 21-year-old, playing in his first season on the DP World Tour having finished in the top 21 on the 2023 Challenge Tour’s Road to Mallorca rankings, holed a shot you will almost certainly never witness again at the 2024 Omega European Masters.
Playing his second from a green-side bunker on the par-3 8th at the stunning Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland, Jarvis’s ball went straight in the hole, popped out, then inexplicably fell back in for the unlikeliest of birdies.
“Oh my goodness me!” commentator Jamie Spence says. “Slam dunk!”
You can watch the clip below. The reaction of Jarvis’s caddie says it all…
Enjoy.
"It went in twice, it was so good" 😲
