Twelve months ago, Jordan Spieth couldn’t possibly have imagined the position he currently finds himself in.

He arrived at last year’s Australian Open with one PGA Tour win and an impressive debut at the Ryder Cup to his name, but his win in Sydney acted as the catalyst to a sensational 2015, winning two majors and three more times on the PGA Tour, including the season-ending Tour Championship where he clinched the FedEx Cup and the PGA Tour’s Player of the Year award.

Now world No.1, there’s a bit more of a buzz around Jordan Spieth as he returns Down Under to defend his title, and some Australian schoolkids were lucky enough to be treated to a golf clinic.

And what’s certainly clear is that Spieth has picked up a few more fans since he departed the Australian Golf Club with the trophy last November – where he cruised to a six-shot victory over Rod Pampling following a stunning eight-under-par final round.
