WATCH :: The story of the 100 Holes Challenge

On June 22, bunkered pair Tom Lovering and Michael McEwan took on the epic challenge of aiming to complete 100 holes in one day at Kingsbarns Golf Links.

Raising money for Yorkhill Children’s Charity, the duo were set the task in early 2015 with three simple rules: complete every hole, walk the entire way and carry your own bag.

With their alarms going off at 3.30am, Tom and Michael hit their first tee shots at 4am and, accompanied by several other keen golfers throughout their five-and-a-half rounds, they successfully finished the challenge in 16 hours and 41 minutes.

Upon the release of the video, which captures Tom and Michael’s progress throughout the day, a total of £8,142.50 had been raised for Yorkhill Children’s Charity, and you can still donate here.
