Police are investigating after a car window was smashed by three ‘lads’ at Wellsgreen Golf Range in Fife.
The incident happened shortly before 7pm on Monday, May 11, at the busy facility on Standing Stane Road in Leven.
According to the Wellsgreen Facebook page, the trio had hit balls in one of the range’s bays before heading out on the putting green next to the car park.
CCTV captured one of them teeing up a ball on the putting green and taking a full swing, smashing the window of a red Alfa Romeo parked there. The group then quickly made off without reporting the damage.

In a post on social media, the range owners wrote: These 3 ‘nice’ lads visited us last night between 5.30 and 7pm driving a white/grey van.
“They hit balls in bay 17 then
rolled a few nice putts before taking a full swing at a ball on our
putting green aiming directly at the cars in our car park smashing the
window of an Alfa Romeo before running away.
“If the ball had ricochet the other way onto the busy Standing Stane road, then who knows what might have happened.
“It
would go without question that these chaps are no longer welcome at
Wellsgreen.”
