The best players on the PGA Tour are heading to Quail Hollow for the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship.
Just a week before the second major of the season, the PGA Championship, there is plenty on the line in this Signature Event stop in North Carolina.
This limited field tournament boasts a $20million prize purse after receiving elevated status in 2023.
Wyndham Clark secured a breakthrough victory here last year, just weeks before edging out Rory McIlroy to win the US Open.
Clark is back to defend his title, but faces stiff competition from the likes of McIlroy and Patrick Cantlay, whilst Ludvig Aberg had to withdraw through injury.

It should be noted that Wells Fargo, one of the PGA Tour’s longtime sponsors, will be supporting this event for the final time.
The title sponsor since 2011 confirmed back in January that it will not renew after 2024. “Wells Fargo is not renewing the Wells Fargo Championship as a Signature Event in 2025 and beyond,” a statement from the San Francisco-based bank read.

The bunkered bet
Sahith Theegala 28/1
No Scottie Scheffler means this is a chance for another player to finally win a Signature Event. Look no further than Sahith Theegala, who has finished second in two of these tournaments with elevated prize purses this season. The American has had two weeks off after finishing runner-up at the RBC Heritage, but we expect him to kick on and his improved accuracy with the driver will give him ample chances around Quail Hollow.
