The 2026 US Open will take place at a familiar venue.
After a visit to the notorious Oakmont Country Club in 2025, America’s national championship makes its return to Shinnecock Hills in 2026.
The iconic Shinnecock Hills will host the US Open for the sixth time after last staging the tournament in 2018.

Brooks Koepka won the tournament in Southampton, New York on that occasion, with a one-over par total.
After winning the title in 2017, Koepka made history at Shinnecock Hills by becoming the first male player since Curtis Strange in 1989 to win back-to-back US Opens.
The course is known for providing fast and firm conditions, testing the world’s best with undulating greens, tall fescue and awkward winds.
Previous US Open winners at Shinnecock Hills also include Retief Goosen, Corey Pavin and Raymond Floyd.
After hosting the 2026 renewal, Shinnecock Hills will host the tournament a decade later in 2036.
