The American is a fan favourite on the PGA Tour, but who is Billy Horschel’s coach?
Since turning pro in 2009, Horschel has become a multiple PGA Tour and DP World Tour winner.
He’s battled with injuries throughout his career, as well as swing changes to navigate blimps in his form, particularly in 2023.
So, who is the man behind Horschel’s swing?
• Who is Billy Horschel’s caddie?
• Who is Billy Horschel’s wife?
Billy Horschel coach
Billy Horschel’s coach is Todd Anderson, one of the top golf instructors in the United States.
He is currently the Director of Instruction at the PGA Tour’s Performance Center at TPC Sawgrass, so is extremely familiar with the golf swing.
Named the 2010 PGA National Teacher of the Year, Anderson has worked with male and female golfers across different tours and age groups – and is renowned for his transformational work.
As well as Billy Horschel, Anderson has worked with Brandt Snedeker, Davis Love III and Justin Leonard.
In total, Anderson has helped more than 100 tour players and his students have combined for well over 50 PGA Tour wins and earned over 100 D1 golf scholarships.
He also began coaching LPGA Tour prodigy Rose Zhang, with the American claiming her second title shortly after they joined forces in February 2024.
Meanwhile, he has also improved the games of Ivan Lendl and Marshall Faulk.

Anderson has plenty of experience, given he became a PGA professional in 1987.
And Horschel has always been full of praise for his assistant, going as far as to say he is ‘the best golf coach who has ever lived’.
They teamed up in late 2008, when Horschel was on the verge of graduating from the University of Florida.
At the time, his coach Buddy Alexander knew Horschel needed a full-time replacement for life on tour and recommended three potential figures.
“I was the first one that he came to see, and he didn’t go see the other two, and we’ve been working ever since,” Anderson said.
The duo have built a winning relationship in their time together, but Horschel also calls Anderson one of his best friends and a mentor.
“He takes care of me like I’m a family member,” Anderson told Golfweek.
“The other thing is – we have an agreement at the end of the year, he’s always given me a bonus every year I’ve worked with him, and I can’t say that for hardly any other Tour player I’ve worked with.”
