Henrik Stenson is one of Europe’s most famous golfers, so who is his wife?

He won the 2016 Open Championship at Royal Troon and became the first male Swedish and first male Nordic major champion.

It all started when Stenson turned pro at 22 and has since enjoyed a career full of success.

As well as hoisting the Claret Jug, he’s won the Tour Championship and PLAYERS Championship, as well as three Ryder Cups.

Stenson was even handed captaincy of Team Europe for the 2023 match but had to forfeit the responsibility after signing with LIV Golf.

Henrik Stenson’s wife is Emma Löfgren, who he met through mutual golf friends.

Whilst Stenson grew up in the south of Sweden, his wife hails from a sporting family from the north of Sweden.

She was an alpine skier but chose golf and played for the University of South Carolina, where she majored in Public Relations and Media – and that is where the pair met.

After graduating, Löfgren worked as a teaching pro at Barsebäck Golf and Country Club for a few years before the pair tied the knot in Dubai in 2006.

Unfortunately, she was never able to pursue golf as a professional career.

“Golf is such a big part of your life, but it’s a job,” she said. “Eventually you have to make life work.”

That was a good year for Stenson, as the golfer reached the top 20 in the Official World Golf Rankings and won twice on the European Tour – at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters and BMW International Open.

He also made his Ryder Cup debut in 2006 and holed the winning putt against Vaughn Taylor in Sunday Singles to ensure that Europe won the Ryder Cup for a third consecutive match.

Stenson and his wife resided in their country of marriage until the beginning of 2012, when they moved to the United States.

Meanwhile, they welcomed their daughter Lisa in 2007, son Karl in 2010 and daughter Alice in 2014.

Throughout Stenson’s storied career, he has had his wife by his side.

Whether it’s his winning days on the DP World Tour or with Majesticks GC, Löfgren has been sighted with golf star.

Of course, his wife was on hand to join in the celebrations in South Ayrshire, when Stenson outdueled Mickelson for The Open at Royal Troon.
