J.J. Spaun’s wife is Melony Spaun. The American golfer’s wife was watching on from the stands as he claimed an incredible first major victory at Oakmont Country Club.

Spaun nailed a 65-foot putt on the final green to break Robert MacIntyre’s heart on a rain-sodden course in Pennsylvania.

It was fitting that Spaun had his family there with him to watch the incredible finish.

Who is J.J. Spaun’s wife?

J.J. Spaun met his wife Melony back home in California through mutual friends.

Spaun conceded that he thought his job as a touring golfer would make him seem more appealing, but Melony was not impressed at first.

“I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m a pro golfer,’ because I thought I was cool,” he recalled. “But she’s like, ‘I don’t even know. What does that mean? Like, does that mean you’re like rich or something?’ I was like, ‘No.’ And she’s like, ‘I don’t really care.’ And I was like, ‘All right.’ And we went like mini golfing or something and she’s like, ‘This is lame.’”

Melony has since got accustomed to tour life with Spaun and is his biggest fan on the golf course.

The couple married in 2019 and have two children together, daughters Emerson Lili and Violet.

Both young daughters were there as J.J Spaun lifted the US Open title at Oakmont on Father’s Day.

“It was a very touching moment to see my girls there,” Spaun said. “My oldest daughter, she was at the Valero when I won [in 2022], and she was about the same age as my youngest daughter now.

“It was so cool to just have my whole family there on Father’s Day. It’s just incredible. I have no words to describe the moment and them being able to see me as the winner.”
