Matteo Manassero has shot back into the spotlight in 2-24, so who is his coach?
After years in the wilderness, the Italian deserves plenty of credit for bouncing back, as does his coach.
He was once ranked the world No.1 amateur and won several times on tour, delivering on the promise he showed before turning professional.
While there have been a few figures in his backroom team, Manassero currently works with one swing coach.

Manassero, a five-time winner on the DP World Tour, has a coach familiar to the Wentworth-based circuit.
He works with Danish coach Soren Hansen – who is renowned for his efforts with Nicolai and Rasmus Hojgaard.
It’s unclear when the pair teamed up, but Hansen has a strong pedigree as a player and now golf coach.
Hansen’s 2007 Mercedes-Benz Championship win earned him a place in the 2008 European Ryder Cup team, although his side were beaten by the US.
His form continued into 2009, finishing inside the top ten at both the US Open and The Open, while he made a major appearance as recently as 2016.
Hansen was Head of Instruction at Great Northern, an international golf club in Kerteminde, Denmark, although it’s unclear where he is based.
As well as being a PGA instructor, he is also an analyst and commentator.
Meanwhile, Manassero has spent time with other coaches.
When he returned to winning ways on the Alps Tour in 2021, it’s believed that he was working with James Ridyard.

• Who is Billy Horschel’s coach?
The Englishman is a DP World Tour and PGA Tour coach who specialises in short game.
Throughout that time, Manassero also had mental coach Alessandra Averna, a former golf pro, in his back team.
He credited his former Italian golf teammate with clearing his mind and returning to form, insisting Averna played a key role in his revival.
And even Francesco Molinari has played coach to Manassero, although the former Ryder Cup winner doesn’t admit it.
Speaking at the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, Molinari said: “He’s kind of a younger brother to me. When he came out in 2016, we spent a lot of time together, and then we sort of went separate ways.
“I don’t know everything he went through, but it’s incredible to see him back hitting the shots and playing like he was before all the tough times.
“There was a time when he started going downhill and he was looking for a coach, and he asked me for my advice.
“He rebuilt himself on his own and needs the credit.”
