Ryan Fox has a game to challenge the world’s best golfers, but who is his wife?

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Fox was one of the biggest stars on the DP World Tour before earning his PGA Tour card for the 2024 season.

His time on the global circuit produced four wins, with the highlight being the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in 2023.

Fox has also represented his country in the World Cup twice, and throughout all the ups and downs, has had his wife cheering him on.

Before even turning professional, Ryan Fox had met his current wife – Anneke Ryff.

How the couple met makes for an interesting story that even has connections to her birth.

Fox’s wife was born on June 20, 1987, just as the All Blacks were winning the World Cup – and Fox’s father was a member of the famous rugby team.

The couple met at a party whilst they were both at college and Ryff recalls everyone talking about Fox – the son of a famous All Black – being at the party.

She later told the New Zealand Herald that her friends wanted the pair to meet but said that was not the reason they stayed together.

Fox has now been with his wife for over two decades and they tied the knot at the luxurious Rakino Island, in their native New Zealand in 2019.

It followed his third PGA Tour of Australasia win at the ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth.

Just one year after getting married, Fox and his wife welcomed their first daughter Isabol Marion to the world before their second child, Margot, was born in 2023.

The two kids were spotted with Fox and his wife at the Masters Par 3 competition in 2024.

He wrote on Instagram: “Might be my favourite experience on a golf course. Amazing to share it with my girls for the first time.

“A great way to finish my prep for the week and can’t wait to get out there tomorrow.”

It was after another post including his wife and kids at Augusta, which read: “Dad duties on the golf course.”

The pair tend to keep their life fairly private on social media, although Fox will have relied on his wife and kids in 2024.

After spending the season playing on the PGA Tour, he said: “I travel with my family, so the loneliness off the golf course wasn’t there but still I found it quite hard to make friends.

“I think the European guys kind of bonded together a little bit there.”
