The PGA Tour winner is renowned for being a big family man, so who is Tony Finau’s wife?

Tony Finau has had quite the life in professional golf.

Born in 1989, he has earned over $50 million from events and won multiple times, as well as represented Team USA at the Ryder Cup and the Presidents Cup.

And a familiar face is often spotted with the American on and off the golf course – his wife Alayna Galea’i-Finau.

Hailing from a big family, Tony Finau has five brothers and three sisters, while his wife has four siblings.

That has led to the pair having six children of their own, the latest born in January 2025. Finau’s wife announced the birth of a third daughter, making the family scales even.

Previously, Finau said: “We’ll probably do five or six. We come from big families.

“I think Polynesians in general, but also the Mormon community, LDS, we like big families.”

That even caused Finau to miss a tee time with Tiger Woods, when his wife was pregnant with their fourth child.

A relative unknown at the time, Finau was invited by Tiger to play golf but was forced to turn down the opportunity.

Tony Finau’s wife Alayna told the Deseret News: “That’s a memory that I really appreciate because he stayed with me the whole time.

“He’s a really good dad that makes a lot of time for all of us. Not just the kids, but for me, too.”

Little is known about Finau’s wife who, alongside Tony, is a member of the Mormon Church of Latter Day Saints.

Generally, Alayna takes their children to church on Sundays while Finau is playing in tournaments.

However, according to the Charlotte Observer, the Finau children come to a tournament about eight times each year.

Tony explained that his wife comes to about half of the events and stays with the children the other weekends when she is not on the road.

The Finaus have been married for over a decade. They tied the knot in 2012, five years after Finau turned professional.

Together, the couple have started the Tony Finau foundation and featured on Netflix’s docuseries Full Swing.

Meanwhile, Finau’s wife is known for her lively social media presence, regularly keeping fans updated with day in the life videos and other viral content.

Alayna Finau is also close with other tour wives, including Dustin Johnson’s wife and Brooks Koepka’s wife.

She even addressed rumours that Finau could be set for a move to LIV Golf on her TikTok page, lip-syncing: “The last thing I need is more drama.”
