La Cala

The world-class La Cala Resort is a golf mecca only 30 minutes from Malaga Airport. La Cala itself is one of three championship courses and provides breathtaking views of the Andalusian countryside and distant Mediterranean from the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas.

Los Naranjas

One of the most popular and well-known golf courses in Costa del Sol, Los Naranjas is a proper test of holiday golf. Otherwise known as ‘The Oranges’, it’s an undulating layout found in the famous Golf Valley of Marbella that was designed by Robert Trent Jones.

Mijas

Mijas, in Malaga, is one of over 50 golf courses that make up the province and is another hugely popular retreat. There are two layouts here, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, both resting in the valley. Both feature memorable holes and are fairly flat compared to other courses in the region.

El Paraiso

El Paraiso dubs itself the friendliest golf destination in Costa del Sol and the welcome is as warm as the Andalusian heat. Designed by Gary Player in 1973, the championship course is undoubtedly one of the best in the region, meandering around lakes and lined by palm trees.

El Chaparral

A paradise for golf enthusiasts, the 18-hole track at El Chaparral is a unique golf experience in this part of Spain. It’s a parkland course set in a Mediterranean forest, where the mountains meet the sea. Found near the luxury Puerto Banús, this is a perfect start or end to a Costa del Sol golf trip.
