Papago Golf Club

SunRidge Canyon Golf Club
Green fee: From $170
When you think of golf in Arizona, it’s probably this. A true gem for golf enthusiasts, SunRidge Canyon is one of the best in Scottsdale, nestled in the ridges and canyons of the McDowell Mountains. The 17th flies over a box canyon and that’s worth the green fee alone.

Ak-Chin Southern Dunes
Green fee: From $90
A long and challenging sand-belt style course in Maricopa that demands plenty of respect. Named after its home, a piece of land that was home to the Ak-Chin Indian Community until 1912, it provides a stern test. Navigate the bunkers and sloped greens and it’s great fun, though.
