Chimera
Green fee: From $129
Despite being just outside of Las Vegas, in Henderson, Chimera offers stunning views of the Vegas Strip and Mt. Charleston, while the challenge on the course is every bit as good. Long bunkers and water features are the dangers, while you can also rent a GolfBoard or three-wheel trike to navigate them.

Arroyo Golf Club
Green fee: From $115
Meandering through the Red Rock Canyon and Summerlin community, the 18-hole course at Arroyo Golf Club was designed by Arnold Palmer and is as stiff a test as you’d expect. Enjoy views of the city from the seventh hole and rugged landscapes from tee to green.

Angel Park Golf Club
Green fee: From $25
The diversity of golf courses at Angel Park, in the west of Las Vegas, makes it one of the most enjoyable facilities in the state. That’s epitomised by the Cloud 9 par-3 course which complements two Arnold Palmer designs. After sunset, play 12 holes under the lights that are inspired by iconic par-3s.

Bali Hai
Green fee: From $199
Right next to harry Reed International Airport is Bali Hai Golf Club – a perfect summation of golf in Las Vegas. Thousands of palm trees, white granite sand, Augusta white sand, black volcanic rock, tropical honeysuckle, pampas grass and pineapple guava were imported to craft this 18-hole layout. Simply breathtaking.

Reflection Bay Golf Club
Green fee: From $150
Another in Henderson, Nevada, Reflection Bay sits along the edge of Lake Las Vegas and uses the natural landscape to move up and downhill. It boasts one of the best closing stretches going, thanks to the final five holes which are set along the water.
