The Villas Valriche estate is the setting for the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open next week – the first ever tri-sanctioned event of the European, Sunshine and Asian tours – and what a scene will greet the 136 players at Heritage GC!

With breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and the mountains behind, the Peter Matkovich designed challenging par 72 course has been named as one of the top ten golf courses in Africa by CNN and features wide undulating fairways, large greens, water obstacles, well placed bunkers and thick African elephant grass.

Villas Valriche is situated in Domaine de Bel Ombre in the Savanne region of Mauritius – the most naturally beautiful part of the island – just 40 minutes from the international airport and surrounded by vast unspoiled and protected nature reserves.

The estate infrastructure and first-class leisure facilities at Villas Valriche are fully operational; villa owners automatically qualify for membership of Heritage GC and the spectacular C Beach Club and, with a Residents’ Card that gives up to 35% discount on food, beverages and services, they enjoy privileged access to the developer’s neighbouring five-star hotel facilities, including fitness centres and luxury spas.  There is also a professionally managed rental pool.

There are over 30 different plantation-style villa designs to choose, with plots varying in size from 700msq to more than 2,000msq.

The villa designs offer a choice of two to six bedrooms, most with spectacular, panoramic sea and golf views. Finished to the highest quality, each villa offers premium brand fixtures and fittings, infinity pool, large veranda, air-conditioning and state-of-the-art communications.

A wide selection of options and interior design packages are available, enabling owners to create a truly bespoke look and feel.

“The Heritage Golf Club is in a spectacular setting and is the perfect venue for such a prestigious event” – Robert Green

Villas Valriche is part of the Mauritian Government’s Integrated Resorts Scheme (IRS). The IRS provides automatic residency to freehold property owners and their dependents, which also brings substantial fiscal benefits. To qualify, the investment in a residential property must be more than $500,000. Villa prices are from $659,000.

The AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open is the most high profile sporting event ever hosted on the island and the €1million prize fund is the largest ever to be paid out for a golf tournament there.

Robert Green, general manager at Abercrombie & Kent International Estates, the UK sales agent for Villas Valriche, said: “The Heritage Golf Club is in a spectacular setting and is the perfect venue for such a prestigious event, which is drawing top golfers from all over the world.”
