The best golf offers in Murcia RIGHT NOW!

Hacienda Del Alamo

With 2022 set to be a bumper year for foreign travel, tee time availability in Spring and Autumn across Europe is becoming increasingly difficult thanks to a perfect storm of pent-up demand and pandemic-affected trips, which have already been deferred to 2022.

With the usual hotspots of Belek, the Algarve and the Costa Del Sol already at bursting point, it's time to look further afield to some hidden gems and lesser-known destinations.

Thankfully, Murcia fits the bill perfectly.

With a number of amazing courses, great access into a choice of two airports (Murcia Corvera and Alicante), over 300 days of sunshine per year and fantastic value, why not make 2022 the year you discover this fantastic region?

Our friends at Glencor Golf have picked their top four packages to give an example of the best this area has to offer...

Psp Residences Mar Menor

The Residences at Mar Menor

A firm favourite in the Glencor golf office, the Residences at Mar Menor are the ideal starting point for a golf holiday to Murcia.

The comfortable four-star apartments offer a great base located in the heart of the resort. With a number of bars and restaurants either on-site or within walking distance, the resort is a great mix of quality golf and evening entertainment.

The Mar Menor Golf Resort offers a choice of three courses within its packages, the first being the on-site Mar Menor Golf Course. This Dave Thomas design offers an American resort feel with holes 13,14 and 15 sticking long in the mind as they shoulder a large lake.

Saurines Golf Course is the second offering, located around 20 mins from the apartments. This desert-style course would not look out of place in Las Vegas, with wasteland bordering the lush green fairways.

Hacienda Del Alamo, main image, is the third course and one of the longest in Spain. Another of Dave Thomas’ designs, the course offers a gruelling test from the back tees.

With three nights and two rounds from £132 per person, this resort offers amazing value.

Psp La Torre

DoubleTree By Hilton La Torre Golf Resort

Newly refurbished, the five-star DoubleTree By Hilton La Torre Golf Resort offers a luxury hotel and spa along with an on-site golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

The resort of La Torre is undergoing a resurgence, with bars and restaurants opening up regularly, the highlight being the bar in the middle of the lake overlooking the ninth green -a great place to watch golfers lose a lot of golf balls!

Guests can also play a number of other Nicklaus-designed courses in the region as part of the hotel packages. El Valle Golf is set in a beautiful desert valley, whilst Haciende Riquelme features possibly the best ninth and 18th holes in all of Spain.

Three nights and two rounds start from only £247 per person

Psp Hotel 525

Hotel 525, Los Alcazares

One of the most famous hotels in the region, the Hotel 525 overlooks the aptly-named 525 square, home to a number of bars and restaurants.

The packages with the Hotel 525 offer free transfers to Roda Golf and La Serena Golf as well as free buggies!

Roda Golf is located five minutes from the hotel and offers generous fairways and well-protected greens. La Serena has undergone a recent refurbishment with newly laid greens and heavy investment.

Water comes into play on the majority of holes and so a vast supply of balls is a must!

Three nights and two rounds with buggies comes in from £286 per person.

Psp Hotel Costa Narejos

Hotel Costa Narejos, Los Alcazares

A budget alternate to the Hotel 525, the Hotel Costa Narejos is located at the other end of the Los Alcazares Strip. Offering comfortable rooms and an excellent location, this property is perfect for groups looking for a base to play multiple courses in the area at great rates.

Packages can be made with a number of courses, the highlights being El Valle, La Serena and Haciende Riquelme.

Three nights and two rounds start at only £206 per person!
