Trying to find a golf resort to jet off to this year? You’re in the right place.
That’s because the ‘Golf Resort of the Year 2025’ has been named and, by all accounts, it’s a stunner.
We’ll get to the resort soon. First, some context.
The award was announced on May 21, in Gran Canaria, Spain, as part of the 25th edition of the annual International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) Awards for the European and African regions.
Voted on by the global organisation’s network of over 700 specialist golf tour operators across 69 countries, it recognises resorts that deliver exceptional service and outstanding experiences, based on client satisfaction ratings.
The winner, you ask? That would be Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca.
• Is this island the ultimate golf holiday destination?
• This golf resort should be near the top of your 2025 golf list
Located just minutes from Palma International Airport, the five-star resort is dubbed the Mediterranean home for golf, boasting no fewer than 63 holes.
The award, meanwhile, comes as Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca unveils its new integrated brand identity that redefines luxury golf experiences on the island.
The recognition further cements its reputation as a premier destination for golf enthusiasts, groups, and families.
“This award is a proud milestone for everyone at Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca, as it recognises the exceptional experience, we strive to deliver every day,” said Francisco Vila, CEO of Arabella Golf Mallorca Resort.
“From our three championship golf courses and two luxury hotels to our personalised service and unique setting, this recognition reflects our collective commitment to creating a resort that stands out in the global golf tourism landscape.
“We’re grateful to our tour operator partners for their continued trust and support.”
• Vidago Palace: A royal golf stay in Portugal
• Half Moon Bay Golf Links: A bucket-list venue in California
IAGTO chief executive Peter Walton added: “This award reflects the outstanding job Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca has done in delivering an exceptional golf travel experience that resonates with both our tour operators and their clients.
“As voted for by our global network of golf tour operators, this honour highlights the resort’s ability to exceed expectations of international golf travellers.
“With its recent brand transformation and renewed commitment to sustainability and service, Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca has set a new benchmark for Mediterranean golf tourism.”
As well as being a European Tour Destination, the resort has two prestigious hotels.
The iconic Castillo Hotel Son Vida and the Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel offer authentic Mallorcan experiences in an unrivalled setting.
