Just 60 minutes drive from Glasgow, Brunston Castle is a 6662 yard Parkland course designed by Donald Steel. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the course is split by the Water of Girvan and lined with mature trees. Between the first and second fairways sits a large pond complete with central island. Don't rely, like many do, on using the first hole as a warm up, as a pull will require a reload and three off the tee. The long par five sixth has been spiced up, with the approach over a well sculpted, natural looking but strategically placed pond. Bigger hitters can go for it in two, while mere mortals can play safe.
