Set to the east of Stirling, Alva Golf Club is home to a nine-hole course that presents great views and an unusual test.
The course isn't long, but is certainly undulating, which along with the Alva burn that runs through the course, makes this a challenge.
Alva's course sits at the foot of the Ochil hills, a fantastic backdrop for a round of golf. As well as that, there's also the Wallace Monument in Stirling in view.
None of the nine holes at Alva reach the 400 yard mark, with the shortest par-3 only playing around 90 yards. Therefore, it really is precision and touch around the greens that is required here.
