The brutishly long par-5 fifth lurks early on the scorecard, measuring at 560 yards from the back tees, while two new par-4 holes have been installed to replace two par-3s.
With clear influence in the design from local legend Willie Fernie, there is plenty to like about golf in this area of Scotland.
