Hayston is located one mile north west of the town of Kirkintilloch off the A803 and is yet another of the great Glasgow courses to welcome golfers throughout the year.
It is an undulating parkland course that is reaping the benefits of a tree-planting programme many years ago. The course record of 62, however, will take some beating but at least you'll have great fun trying.
The James Braid design has a bit of everything, although no matter how good you are, the short par-4s at the 3rd and 12th are a welcome sight.
They provide nice birdie opportunities but don't be fooled, as three of the testing par-5s are on the back nine at the 14th, 15th and 18th.
The welcome into the clubhouse, also known as the 19th hole, is something no golfer should pass up, given its warm welcome and tradition.
