Established in 1975, Palacerigg is a fun and varied municipal course designed by the renowned English golfer Henry Cotton.
The well-kept 18-hole parkland course is located ten miles north east of Glasgow on the outskirts of Cumbernauld, within Palacerigg Country Park. The course measures 5,971 yards and is a par-71 and can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities, with wide fairways forgiving the novice players.
The signature hole at Palacerigg is the par-5 7th, named Lang Whang, which measures up to 540 yards. The tee shot must be perfect as a burn comes into play just about the landing area of the average drive. There is a duck pond on the left and trees awaiting on the right on one of many cleverly-designed holes around Palacerigg.
