Windyhill sits at the foot of the Kilpatrick Hills near Bearsden, just north of Glasgow, and is recognised as one of the best golf courses west of the city.
With magnificent views across the city of Glasgow to the south and the Campsies and Kilpatrick Hills to the north you'll be amazed at the scenery. The course measures 6,154 yards in length, while four testing par-3s, three par-5s and a series of daunting par-4s, Windyhill has the prefect balance of challenge and enjoyment.
Todays 18-hole layout was opened in 1925, and while many of the original features remain in-tact, the ninth and 12th holes would not look out of place on modern championship golf courses. The 41-yard ninth, called 'Perfection', requires just that to an elevated green.
Most won't make it in two and the same can be said for the 12th, 'Rocky Gait'. sloping greens will make you earn par, but they are in great nick, too.
