The Braid Hills course sets up for one of the best rounds of golf in all of Edinburgh. The flagship municipal course in the area ahead of the Wee Braids nine-holer, it is located high above the capital, commanding panoramic views across the whole city's skyline, with huge elevation changes throughout. The heathland course, set amongst some of the most fearsome gorse rough in the area, measures under 6,000 yards but the difficulty is in the shot-making on the undulating layout. Wayward shots are punished with gorse trouble, but you can cash in on the pristine, well-kept greens on this must-visit city centre track.
