Just nine miles south of Edinburgh on the Peebles Road, Glencorse is a well-established, picturesque inland parkland layout with plenty of variety that will test your skills throughout your round.
Glencorse has honed the talents of several Scottish players through the years, including former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher and Walker Cup captain George McGregor. It might be short, but it cannot be described as easy, even for the most capable golfers.
The Glencorse Burn runs through 10 holes and with only one par-3 under 200 yards, consistent long iron players will fare best. The par-3 fifth 237-yards, which includes a 200-yard carry over the burn, is the most striking hole on the course and is well worth the visit alone.
