Haggs Castle Golf Club

Haggs Castle is a championship standard parkland course only a short drive from the city of Glasgow.

Host to a number of regional and national tournaments, including the Scottish Open, Haggs Castle has stood the test of time to become a real Glaswegian favourite.

The back nine is perhaps the best feature of this course, as there are sweeping dog-legs, neat little par threes and tricky, but reachable par fives to contend with.

The final run of holes, though, are every bit as good. The 16th has a hard to reach green hidden from the right side of the fairway by trees, while the 17th requires accuracy from the tee and the fairway if you are to walk away with a par.

There are few better options in the west of Scotland and the surroundings of Pollok Country Park only bolster the setting.
