Lochcarron golf course is a fine nine-hole layout played across twelve tees, with a full 18 measuring just 3605-yards. The par-70 offers a true golfing test with different challenge on each holes.
The wind at Lochcarron makes the course an unpredictable test. Players can find themselves playing into the wind, downwind and a crosswind all in the space of three holes. The greens, which are at their pristine best in the summer conditions, are small with some big swings, testing the short game of the lower handicappers.
The course starts off with a treat, as the first is one of the most renowned holes in the area, with a road running along the left hand side, Loch Carron on the right and a burn tumbling off the hillside catching any loose shots.
