Founded in 1900, East Kilbride Golf Club is home to a quality test of golf that is located no more than half an hour from Glasgow city centre.
It has re-located three times in its history, as its previous homes at the Show Park and Blacklaw had to give way to the major developments in East Kilbride over the latter part of the 20th century.
However, these moves have not been to the club's detriment and, by common consent, the present venue is the pick of the lot.
It is, in fact, widely considered to be one of Lanarkshire's best places to play, with a course that meaures in excess of 6,400 yards and offers a variety of great holes for the discerning golfer.
