Situated within a nature conservation area on the small Balnagask headland, which is packed with at least 18 historical and archaeological sites, including the 1833 lighthouse designed by Robert Stevenson, this is regarded as one of the best municipal courses in the whole of Scotland. There are views over the Aberdeen Harbour and course offers a variety of challenges across a glorious rolling coastal landscape. Designed with the help of James Braid, the hilly layout includes a host of elevated tees and hidden fairways. The par-4 17th, known as "Sand Pit", has glorious views over the harbour and is the one of the most scenic holes you will have the pleasure to play.
