Buckpool is a fine raised links course just on the west side of the fishing town of Buckie on the Moray Coast. The course was uniquely created as a work scheme for the unemployed in the 1930s and prides itself as one of Scottish golf's best-kept secrets. With wind and gorse aplenty this is a challenging yet rewarding venue. It was also the scene of former Open champion Paul Lawrie's first professional win back in 1986.
Swales and hollows are littered around the approaches to slick undulating greens, so precious some are protected by cavernous bunkers. Blend all this together with true Scottish hospitality and sincere friendliness for a premium golfing experience.
