One of Scotland's finest golf destinations, Newmachar boasts two Dave Thomas-designed courses in the heart of Aberdeen.

If Newmachar's championship course, the Hawkshill, scares you off, then the more friendly Swailend is more for you.

It opened in 1997 - seven years after its sibling - with the intention of offering a less demanding round for the more casual player. It delivers on that promise with wide open fairways and huge greens, but Thomas's signature bunker style is still here in abundance.

A day on Newmachar's 36 holes is a day well spent. And you'll more than earn that post-round refreshment in the spectacular clubhouse.
